I'm not big on writing reviews but I have to tell you people that are looking for flea shampoo ....THIS STUFF WORKS! The first time I used it I thought maybe it didn't because my dog was scratching a lot but there was no sign of fleas when I gave him a bath. Just the other night, after the first few super hot days of the summer, my dog was itching like CRAZY so I put him in a bath and used this shampoo. I was HORRIFIED at the amount of fleas that came off of him! They ran for the hills. I'm still grossed out thinking about it *shivvers*
My dog can be a little sensitive to products and his inner leg area got a little red so be careful about rubbing it on where more skin is exposed....but get the butt and neck really well and the fleas will rear their ugly little heads!

this shampoo is great...no more darn fleas!!! It doesn't make much suds and don't care for the smell but then...who cares??? No more fleas!!!!

My poor dachshund/Maltese mix has terrible problems with fleas. After discovering that her usual flea treatment (Frontline Plus) had stopped working after less than 2 weeks of being applied, I urgently needed something else to take care of the problem.
I'm sorry to have to give this product such a low review. The flea shampoo comes in a nice big bottle, and looked like being excellent value for money. Unfortunately, it did not kill my dog's fleas at all. I have tried it multiple times, with the same effect - no dead fleas. They look as lively and fat as always.
It did, however, leave my dog with a nice, soft coat, which was a pleasant surprise. I was worried flea shampoo might leave my dog with a coarse, rough coat. But this product certainly worked well to give my dog a silky, soft coat.
Shame that it didn't do what it was supposed to do.
I must add though that perhaps my dog is just unlucky. I've also tried other flea treatments with the same effect - no dead fleas. I am beginning to worry that my dog has super fleas, and am now consulting with a veterinarian to find other flea treatments that might help with the problem. This product might work fine for dogs that have a less serious flea problem.

We had seen a few fleas jumping on our dog, so we knew we needed to take care of the issue fast, before it got worse and before they infested our dog and our house. I researched which way to go with flea sprays, etc. I wanted natural and no harmful chemicals in a spray & shampoo form. I purchased 2 bottles of the DeFlea spray (pet bedding & pet spray) and oen bottle of DeFlea shampoo. I vaccummed all the floors, dirt deviled the couches and washed all my bed sheets first. Then the spray went on(to the dog, the floors, the dog bedding, my mattress, etc)(I did NOT apply it to my couches...wasn't sure if it would stain microfiber) I let that dry on our dog and did not wash it off for 48 hours(like it says on the bottle) There was an extreme difference right then. No fleas jumping, the ones we found were instantly dead on our dog. I wanted to get the spray and the dead fleas off my dog, so then I used the DeFlea shampoo. It had a good fragrance to it and it made his coat shiny. Best of all, it also had the active ingredients to fight off any "hiding" vagrant fleas that may have been left! All in all, we have had NO recurring fleas AT ALL after these products were applied. Our dog did not get sick on these products during or after use(even after having to yell at him to not lick his fur!)
Great product and the price was VERY reasonable compared to some that I researched on Amazon and in the pet stores.

We have since been applying "Advantage"...a once a month flea, flea egg and tick preventative. This also works extremely well, although the price is about $11 per month and you have to buy it in a 6 month form!

I used this on my litter of puppies and their mother as well as my ferret. It works great as far as killing the fleas goes. The only thing I did not like about this product was that it does not continue killing or repelling the fleas after rinsed. But when you have no other products that are safe on animals such as young puppies or small pets this shampoo is great.
The customer service with this company is wonderful also. you call and they actually answer and take the time to answer any questions you may have as well as things you didn't even think to ask.
